Things That Make You Go HA!

You know this writing stuff? Well, it's meant to be enjoyable - fun even. Creating something from the blank page is a huge achievement, but if we can't smile and laugh a few times along the way, then maybe we need to question what the hell we are putting ourselves through. I get quite into finding new and interesting ways that murderers can be committed to flummox my MC. I like doing that to him. I'm not so sure that he is getting a kick out of it, but I am.

Part of staying on top of all this writing merry-go-round is making sure you have people around you who can also see the funny side. This is both in your physical world, and also on-line. One of the people worth having on your blog list is Carrie Harris. Just be careful not to have a mouthful of tea when you open one of her posts.

Recently Carrie held a contest to come up with funny book titles involving super heros. I was lucky enough to win this and a signed copy of Wolverine: Worst Day Ever, with my entry of "Horton Hatches the Spawn".

I have no idea how my brain came up with that, but what I do know is that I'm thankful to Carrie and the others who entered the contest for making me laugh with their entries.

We all need people like this around us. I hope you have some serious nutters in your life too.

I have a serious nutter in my life, in fact we've been together for 15 years next month. He makes me laugh . . . every single day! I don't think life can get much better than that!

Great book title, btw. It definitely wasn't on my childhood reading list. I wonder if my sister would mind me getting that book for my 4 year old nephew. Hmmmm . . .

Hey, we nutters have to stick together!

I adore that book cover. Seriously. I'd like to hang it on my wall.

Yes, yes!! Luckily, I have plenty of nutters in my life and often don't need to look farther than my own immediate family.

PS: Thanks for the belly laugh (and no, I didn't have tea in my mouth, thank goodness!).
